Spring wardrobe

Fellow humans often ask me whether I wear different things in winter and in summer. I live in Denmark, where it can be cold in winter and very warm in summer. This winter, the coldest temperature was around -10, and in summer it will be above 20 degrees. Oftentimes it rains too, and it can be very windy. Yet, my wardrobe remains the same throughout all seasons. I don't do it as an experiment. Rather, it's something that I've noticed works well for me. I used to wear very similar things in northern Sweden too, where it was -20 in winter and +20 in summer. And my wardrobe still worked for me when I went to a conference in Paris where it was over +40.

Every day, I wear a uniform. In summer, I wear shorts and a basic top, often with a loose linen shirt on top. In winter, I wear sweatpants, a basic top, and a linen shirt. In winter, I wear my jacket and a scarf on my head and over my shoulders. In summer, I wear the same jacket when it's cold, or just the scarf.

In the picture above is my whole wardrobe: 3 basic white tops, a large woollen scarf, 2 loose linen shirts, 2 pairs of sweatpants and a jacket. To the left from this collection are a pair of shorts and a white t-shirt. They belong to my partner, but I borrow them often. I wear his t-shirt at home and when I sleep in winter, though at times I also wear it when I go for a walk. To the right are two items that are mine (a pair of shorts and a basic top) that I cannot wear these months. I'm 23 weeks pregnant, and my body has changed. Interestingly, my wardrobe still works well for me even in the second trimester, apart from these two items I've just mentioned. Perhaps it works because I generally prefer to wear loose, very comfortable clothes. Apart such clothes being something I prefer, my whole life I've also been advised by medical professionals to wear such clothes too, as they are gentle on my skin. I live with a skin condition, and anything that feels too tight, rough or too warm can cause a reaction. I could give the items that don't fit me anymore away. I haven't done it because I think I could wear them after I give birth. If not, I will happily give them away.
