 Travel

We left Umeå at around 10 pm and arrived in Lund at around 11:30 am.

These are the personal care items I usually take with me when I travel. They are the same ones I use at home. I don't own a special soap pouch. Sometimes I use paper, at other times a handkerchief.

 Appropriation, consumption/use of appropriated goods

The pen comes from a conference in Berlin. The pot was given to me by a friend who got it from a student hall of residence: some students left several of them when they moved out. There are plenty of existing items in society which can be redistributed more effectively.

A colleague gave this bag for me to use when we were travelling. It is now (temporarily?) mine.

 Packaging

Plastic packaging has become normalised. It is challenging to find items which come in simple, recyclable packaging. This multi-purpose balm (above) comes from Germany. It was a gift.

This soap (below) is produced by a Swedish company. They work with women's cooperatives. The packaging is simple and good, apart from the plastic film inside.

Better packaging

The bar of soap above comes only with a thin paper sleeve which contains all the information about the ingredients etc. This soap is made here in Sweden.

 Plants

This spider plant was a gift from a friend. It came here from Finland. A colleague provided the pot and the soil. The mother of this spider plant was also not bought but gifted to my friend.
